One important question being, “When should I book my baby’s newborn photos??” As a Minneapolis newborn photographer, I’m here to help you out.

The simple answer: earlier than you think. Because newborn photographers take a limited number of sessions each month (including me!), the best time to reserve your session is BEFORE your baby arrives (even months before).

I typically photograph newborns when they are 10–14 days old. During this time, babies are often sleepier and more easily settled into gentle, comfortable poses.

However, beautiful newborn images can be created at many stages. Whether your baby is a few days old or a few weeks old, the most important thing is capturing this fleeting season in a meaningful way.

What If My Baby Arrives Early or Late?
